Why I didn't go? Since I am much older and had some grad studies experience in a university, I am not conducive to sitting in some training session knowing stuff I got in my TA-university lecture days. There is also the Taiwan option. A much more open society, you can sell yourself better rather than get caught up with the bureaucratic politics. This is the reason why I decided not to follow through with AES, although I can change my mind somewhat.
