Granted, middle school kids and kids in private English mills lack the sophistication to realize that they're not getting the "real thing" in terms of English language education. However, I do stand by my assertion that more and more college kids are demonstrating such sophistication through the realization that not every Tom, Dick, Harry or Jane is qualified to provide them with their money's worth. When that realization will manifest itself as action is, I suppose, up for debate. Nevertheless, as I said, the grumbling has begun.

I wish it were true that native speakers could always add the polish where needed, but unfortunately I've seen them take the luster off by repeatedly misrepresenting the language and/or stumbling through the simplest lessons as if being a clown is truly their calling.

The change will come.............
