WAISTE and WASTE of time - Teachers Discussion

In my ignorance, I frequently refer to the Oxford English Dictionary. The copy I have clearly indicates that using "waiste" is correct in a phrase like "a waiste of time", and you should NOT write "waste" instead.

If that is wrong, perhaps it comes from an illegal copy printed in China (something like "plagerism" I suppose). Did you perhaps do the proofreading of that copy then?

Until you prove me wrong, I will happily continue to write "waiste of time"

Do you recognise the above post Turnip?You should, you made it. Perhaps now you will cease to foist your errors onto others in your quest to appear knowledgeable on the oh so many subjects that you aim your streams of invective towards. Your credibility is zero.
