In my original comments I was not implying that God was responsible for the natural disaster in Sichuan or disasters anywhere else.
My point was, how will the 'God Squad' explain to their prospective converts, why, if he is all knowing and seeing and his mercy so well lauded, the quake was visited upon the people, without an intervention on his part to avoid such grief and misery.?

For those of us who live in the real world rather than the fantasy one that religions insist on propagating, let's at least try to educate in a scientific way, and save the students from being led into the trap of believing in patent nonsense, when they can get on perfectly well without it.
