Totally dude!

Like what's up with that Turnip dude anyway? Standard English indeed! Gag me.

By the way, I recently read an interesting comment about how California Surfer Talk and Valley Girl Talk have bled together to the point that it has become such common, oft imitated speech - even by non-Americans, that we shouldn't discount it as a temporary phenomenon, and should accept that it has made its way into the mainstream of Standard English.

Language flows, breathes and changes like a living organic thing. If not, how could it continue to hold our fascination to the point that we exercise that fascination, not only in our daily speech but in our writing as well? Any language that is static and incapable of bending in the wind of change will ultimately die or be rendered as useless due to its rigidity.

You have a nice day too.
