In response to The Universal ESL Jungle (The Arrogant One)

Sorry about your ex-employer. The only time I've ever had a similar situation was when I was teaching for a Canadian owned school in Thailand. I don't think it's a matter of race but mentality. As language schools have a fast turn round of customers, they get into the mentality they should have a fast turn round of teachers, and they can do whatever they want with them because they are only going to be with them a short time.

If the ESL teaching profession is ever going to get organised it needs to start in ONE country first, then spread to other countries. You can't start big, but must start in an achievable way.

Good luck, and for what it is worth, you have my support.

Robert
