I am with a company now called BSK Academy the Shanghai branch of China Centre of International Educational Exchange. You have to have a college degree, but DON'T need a TELF certificate and can sign a 6 month contract although they prefer a year. If you sign a year they pay for most of your flight to China and home at the end of the contract. They pay 11,000 rmb before tax- which is a lot in China, plus they do a small monthy transportation reimbursement. It was the best company I could find in China and of course it't not easy but I just signed on for another 6 months and I love it here! The first school term in Shanghai starts September 1st-January 20th, but my company will sometime take people after September. And the 2nd term is around February 18th-June 25th.
