Any suggestions for teaching world history to students recently arrived in the U.S. with absolutely no background in English and zero English fluency? I translate for some of the students who speak spanish, but i have student who recently arrived in Thailand. I know use visuals- but I have been giving him individual lesson plans to describe the pictures (which he does using a thai translation machine). Any ideas for different activities would be appreciated!
