In response to Re: Moving a cat in China (wo ai mao)

Yeah, it's hard to think about leaving the cat behind while moving about China, isn't it? What we found out regarding air travel is that, yes, you do need a certificate from a veterinarian showing that the cat has had its shots. We're still pondering the bus, train situation and can't seem to get a clear answer on that. Something else we're curious about is whether or not there is a safe way to put our cat to sleep for about 24 hours so that she won't be totally traumatized during transport. We also worry, based on what damage to my luggage I've seen as a result of improper handling, how careful the baggage handlers are with pets.

Well, anyway, I hope it works out for you, and, if you find anything more definitive than I have, I hope you'll post it here. It's crazy enough to almost make you want to get a car, isn't it?
