I'm new to the ESL world, so I'm sorry if this is a stupid question. I'm applying for jobs mostly in Taiwan, but they always want me to send a copy of my passport and sometimes a copy of my degree before I apply for a job. This seems weird to me, and I'm not very comfortable doing that. If I was offered a job, and had to send that in to get a visa, that would be one thing. But sending them in my initial email just doesn't seem right. I don't know what vital info they could get from a passport copy, but still... should I be worried, or is this normal?
