I prefer continental climate. I spent most of my time in Xi'An, so it was quite hot and dry. Spending last week of July in Shanghai was rather a nightmare, over 40 and 96% humidity is not for me :)

Are you from England or what? Women in other parts of Europe are not so bad. But you can surely understand why in Middle Ages all men were colonising, so they could find some decent women :)

In the end of my time in China I really hated every day spent there. Well, maybe not hated, but all tiny annoying things cumulated together and made me want to go back home asap. Now I want to go back :) I really miss a lot of lifestyle. On a good day, I could wake up, manage to get warm shower, get out of dorm, buy a cold coke from machine and play badminton for few hours. Having your apartment would surely remove many annoyances [shared fridge in dormitory, no kitchen, american exchange students stealing food, warm water only at set hours etc].
