Hi, I finished my teaching contract last Jan. Now (april 1st - no joke :) ) i am on a business visa studying chinese at a local uni. If i accept employment in sept, do i need a letter of release from my previous school? My school tells me no. They don't even know about them... They have given me a glowing reference, I still have the little brownish/redish book and I have my old contract clearly stating when my contract ended. My old school said they will stamp anything i want them to, but as i said, they don't know about letters of release. They said, only if i want out before my contract expires would they start to think about release letters...

Do i need a letter of release? If anyone has any info, i'd be much obliged.
