Why do some people feel the need to reply to every post and then say something that makes no sense? I've lived in China for 6 years and I can tell you that Shenzhen doesn't feel like "China" to me and that is exactly the point I was making. I DON'T expect Shenzhen to be any different from any other big city anywhere in the world and I never stated otherwise. It IS, in fact, the real China I miss. Being able to ride a bike or walk places. Paying reasonable rent for an apartment. Having no difficulty finding meaningful work. Having the police leave you alone if you're not causing any trouble. Stuff like that. I know what I'm talking about, OK?
