I too, am teaching at a college in Shijiazhuang (A Foreign Language Translation College) and my curfew is 10 pm! Anytime I have guests visit, they have to sign in and give a time when they are leaving. They treat us like children here. In fact, last week, they made us sign an addendum to our contract that says we will keep our rooms clean an tidy. While they claim it is for our safety, I think it is a load of .... because as far as I can tell, this city is pretty safe.

P.S. Where do all the foreigners in this city hang out? I have hardly met any and I definitely want to meet some others and share our experiences...
