I think the original purpose of this board, a purpose which has seemingly morphed into something entirely different, was that it would provide the means by which teachers could share their meaningful experiences and knowledge regarding teaching ESL and EFL. What a pity that its most common posters have not risen to the challenge. I've been tracking things here for quite awhile. At times is seems that the board and its members might actually be heading in the right direction, but unfortunately the path narrows and the one way traffic thus allowed reveals a vision of posters who treat professionalism as if it is an old, worn out VW that can only manage 30 in a 60 mph zone. In addition, those who try to move forward in a positive direction are often pushed off the path by bullying semi-truck drivers with agendas that feed their arrogant appetites.

What is it about other such sites that seem capable of rising above the petty bickering and name calling? Can't figure that one out.
