Felix - 2005-03-06

Hello Maria,
Felix did not say there is a recently passed law in China that prohibits the issuing of work visas to non-native ESL teachers in China.I said and will repeat that most Chinese erroneously and ignorantly believe that if you are not from Australia,Canada, New Zealand,UK and the USA, you are not qualified to teach English in China. However there are many schools as well as Chinese who understand a good teacher to be a qualified somebody with a sense of duty, irrespective of nationality.Take a look the ESL jobs advertised on the Internet and you will understand what i am talking about.
