My employer has not offered me a new contract yet.

The colleague who was in contract negotations quit over a disagreement, I just found this out yesterday afternoon. The education director told me, so since January 10th I have been the only foreign teacher there.

I don't know if they would offer me a contract if i ask for "the extras."

I was told by a HR manager that now works in Xian that once I get my one year in the school they will give me a raise between 1000-2000 rmb, yes I would stay there if they don't offer me those extras.

My ex-colleague and I do not have the same background and experience.

My living expenses have not increased.

I will stay in the same province.

There are other job opportunities in this province that may offer more than what this school does.

I won't be able to talk to my ex-colleague's wife because now he quit and even If i could i wouldn't anyways.

Any further help would be appreciated.
They just hired a new teacher, he is from Scotland. The other foreign teacher will probably be coming back in March, that foreign teacher went back to her country for Christmas.
