I am looking at programs for teaching an ESL student (one on one). I used Explode the Code for a couple weeks and was unhappy with the results. I switched to Hooked on Phonics and have had great results but now I am being told that there are "problems" with Hooked on Phonics and ESL instruction. I can not find anything on line about these supposed problems and am wondering if perhaps there are no problems. Can someone help me with this. Thanks in advance!
