As my Chinese wife and I have been living in seven provinces over the past 10 years since our marriage, I guess I wouldn't qualify for a residence permit. So, I needn't waste my time seeking one. No matter I'm still behind the Great Wall, just like you. Sometimes I think I'm on the wrong side of it, but then my better half assures me I'm wrong. Of course, I must go along with her point of view to keep her sweet!
