This is just a word of caution for any foreigners offered a job in a school called "English Town" in Panjin, Liaoning province.

Last week there was a lot of foreigners warning people not to sign on with them. However, all these complaints have magically disappeared. It sems as though someone has put a lot of effort into erasing or hiding information from prospective teachers.

You can still find this information however if you search caches, databases, etc. Perhaps this warning too will disappear.

There was a lot of complaints about them not able to get a proper working visa. Also, some foreigners complained about not getting paid properly, being promised certain things and not getting it, also one foreigner said he had to call the police to get his passport back from them.

If it is true or not, I do not know. All I know is that if it was only one or two people, maybe they are just complainers. But it was more than one. It was 6 different foreigners complaining, all in succession. The boss, Malen Lee, also lied about Panjin saying there was a McDonald's in Panjin. This can be found easily on Google or Yahoo.

The fact that they are scrambling to erase everything is in itself a testament to their behaviour. If these accusations are not true, why not just say "they are not true"? Why erase everything?

Where there is smoke, there is fire. There are a million other jobs, ones that pay much more than 5000 a month. And in a cheaper city, too.

So if you want to work for them, go for it. Just be careful about people who will say anything to get you there. And do research before you sign on with them, or any other school for that matter.

Here are the facts about Panjin:

- Small city, lots of rubbish in the streets
- Everything is more expensive than other small cities
- The price of beef is the same as in Beijing or Shanghai, but the salary is much lower
- Very boring city
- You can count the number of other foreigners on one hand
- NO McDonald's, NO pizza, NO authentic western restaurants, NO proper western foods in the supermarket

Remember, if a school promises you 5000-10000, you will most certainly get only 5000. This was the complaint from 2 other foreigners.

Do research, read histories, caches. Things they cannot erase so easily.
