I've seen that most Chinese middle school teachers teach in a chalk and talk way. But at the same time many FAO's and DOSes here in China expect their foreign teachers to make their classes lively, even if they have to act the giddy goat to do so. As I've never done TEFL, I'm wondering if TEFL teaches its course takers how to act the giddy goat. I'm not good at that, as I'm a kinda lazy teacher who is a bit of an old goat.
