I only dug up this old thread as someone I was discussing China with on Daves sent me a link.

Im a pretty straight up guy, with moderate qualifications and experience, and thought I should make an informative, balanced post as someone who has actually worked there.

From all the horror stories I read on Daves about dodgy Chinese employers, I can say Omeida isnt one of them, and that Odar is a decent bloke. As I wrote, it isnt a plum China job due to a salary that is on the low side, but for everything else, including transparency, it is a good gig. Some of the posts written in this thread are inaccurate IMO.

I stand by my comments and would recommend it as a good starting point in China for any newbie.
