CL, I appreciate your response. As that UK chap in Japan, I too have opened a school on mainland before. I even wrote the course books for General English adult learners. That was problably when my frustration started to really kick in. You can't imagine the local attitudes towards a foreign managed schools here. The local competitors and authorities did their best to sabotage me there. I had shoppers in my classrooms and a retired local official at my doorstep on daily basis. Then, as I leased the space, the owner offered yet another kind of abuse that even my "contractual agreement" couldn't cope with. But, hey, that's for another thread, isn't it? The irony of my "happy attempts" on mainland goes on, doesn't it?
