Earlier this summer, while obtaining my long L visa for visiting a Chinese relative for the nth time before proceeding to my new employer to teach illegally, so what btw, at a PSB office, I witnessed the following conversation between a female Chinese national who was trying to get visas for foreigners, and the visa clerk.
Visa Clerk: You people come here every time and expect us to overlook discrepancies. Your paperwork is a mess, and now you threaten to complain to my boss. You have no power at all. F..k you!
Chinese national: Now I've got your number I'll report what you've said to your director.
Visa Clerk: Go on then. You'll get nowhere, you're a foreigners' whore.
I ignored it all, picked up my visa, and left for my new employer. The Waiban there doesn't care about my teaching with an L and without a medical. Of course, neither do I.
