In the case of young blokes, eg, 22-35 it is my opinion that it is waste of time to work in China. It will affect your employment opportunities back in the West, you will find you have been left behind when you return home.

Silverboy, this is very very true! I am currently undergoing exactly these troubles. Friends have moved on, family is nonchalant, and employers are giving me the stiff arm...what to do? And no girl by my side, but onwards and upwards?

I'm not sure China is a good place to find a soulmate though. I thought i found her once or twice there, but each time I was let down/hurt. But good luck if you found her man!
