However, don't despair totally man! If it doesn't work out at least you got your own place to go back to Aus to stay in!! And you got some family still alive in Aus too, which is good. Remember this, which I learnt the hard way, NO-ONE in China is your family, despite some Chinese male friend's who will falsely brag : "We are brothers now!"....yeah, right! Will they be your brother when you are truly down, like needing to borrow several thousands for an emergency flight home!? Sad to say, I left with a bitter seed of hatred in my heart...

The problem with China is in their view of networking, which is that people are either near or far. Not In and out like in Aus/the UK/other western countries. Friendships/relationships don't really matter to the Chinese so much, family comes first, always.
