There was recent news about an American news reporter from Bloomberg Television who was physically assaulted by up to 5 uniformed policemen in Beijing. Apparently the government is being a bit paranoid about people gathering as there was a supposed post on the internet to rally chinese people from 35 major cities to organize peaceful protests. Now I don't know how true the rallying is but it IS TRUE that foreigners are being watched. As for the physical assault I guess the policemen in china are emboldened to do this kind of shyte to anyone now, not just native chinese, people who are of chinese descent, or minorities in china.
