No, it's not the crime of the century, but deceitful all the same!

Maybe Dino's more aware than you are. Anyways, it's not colleges and universities that check teaching credentials with a fine tooth comb. It's the provincial education departments whose duty it is to do so - they approve invitation letters and issue FEC's. It seems that they aren't fulfilling their obligations thoroughly, see the link below.
Anyway, with or without teaching credentials, Dino or any FT, won't last long as a teacher in China if he doesn't meet at the very least what is expected of him by his employer. But unlike you, it really matters little to many of us if he's deceitful or not re teaching credentials. That said, I have earned a degree, but it's of no use in my job here in China teaching oral English, as it's a science degree. Surely of far greater importance is if he can hack it at work.
BTW, I'd love to see his 'brilliant' CV; maybe it's a laugh a minute!
