Does anyone know anything about Expunged Criminal Records or Criminal Records and how it affects one's opportunity to secure an English teaching position in China? I am aware that in Korea, an appostillized FBI Check is required ahead of time.

For those of you who dont know what an Expunged Criminal Record is, generally, it is a process that "removes from general review" the records (conviction) pertaining to a case. In many jurisdictions, however, the records may not completely "disappear" and may still be available to law enforcement, to sentencing judges on subsequent offenses, and to corrections facilities to which the individual may be sentenced on subsequent convictions.
