thank you a lot. these do help quite much... i did some more research and found some essential points to focus on while analyzing a novel. your posts open some new fields for planning my lessons. i also thought of including movies since some of the novels were made into movies and thus to achieve this understanding part.. as to the links there, i will certainly use some of the notes there and see how my students will react to different lesson organization.. thx..
