Take away Guangzhou and Shenzhen and Guangdong would be nothing from an economic perspective. Even cities like Zhuhai and Dongguan are relatively poor, probably a reason for the very high level of prostitution in both those cities. There is a more even distribution of wealth in Zhejiang.

That is what I was generally getting at.
