With Christmas and New Year now gone, I think it's a good time for those of us who are assisted by teaching assistants to make New Year resolutions to treat them better from next semester. My assistant has confided in me regarding the shabby way she's been treated by our company. You know, if you think you've things to gripe about, think again in the light of the way those poor Chinese girls are treated by the companies they work for - appallingly, near enough. I'll go into more detail later, but in the meantime I've invited my T/A along with her colleague at this middle school for a good dinner at an expensive reataurant at my expense. But my fellow FT here will be kept in the dark about it - he's not been at all kind towards me in any way whatsoever, so I'm not going to treat him!
