I don't know too much about that particular context, but I would be happy to pay someone to converse with my child in a foreign language, or to lead a discussion where my child and other children were conversing. Of course, this depends on the number of children and language level of the class. Having 30 beginners trying to talk with each other, with your gentle prodding, might not work so well.
