i was student at lasalle shanghai. i think it is a good job to teaching design subjects over there. first, it is relatively well paid as living cost in shanghai are quite low. second, it is a really relaxing job(when i was at that college,most time i thought teachers just did nothing in class and get paid. they do have good teacher,but very rare). also, shanghai is nice city, it's best city for western to live in china.
however,students don't really care their English course since it is not compulsory.they just care their design subjects. so that all responsible teacher wouldn't happy about this.

overall,i think it is a private school driven by economic factors.everything they do is only for make profit as much as possible. u really should understand this before u go there.
