There's some photos on China Smack of the great anchorman himself posing outside the Houses of Parliament and other "cool" shots with a Mercedes and a Starbucks coffe. Who let this "foreign trash" into my country? Is he making maps and using GPS to spy on my great nation? Who is protecting innocent English girls? We should be told!

And then there's the government officials who have been drinking Red Bull as it's given them wings. "Red Bull" seems quite an appropriate term in considering the Chinese offal media.

So here we have floating government officials, and the Chinese netizens’ parodies that made me laugh out loud. This would be old news (2011) except that the same thing happened just three days ago, this time in Zhejiang Yuhang Government.

Some examples of the parodies to the earlier story are on China Smack including an animation showing Obama booting the officials out of shot, three officials in the room for a porn movie, and being present at what was presumably the Yalta talks with Stalin et al. Why aren't these guys doing the parodies, working for the government?

Alternatively, the floating officials may have been part of a publicity campaign. Who knows? I would guess that the poor doctoring was the result of a “temporary worker” – the normal attempt at covering themselves for the cock-up when offering an explanation.

The Daily Telegraph or Torygraph as it’s know by some, has invited further parodies that they will publish in a photo gallery. Expect Private Eye magazine to do a parody of the Daily Telegraph.
