Madar International School has been banned from participating in Search Associates (U.K. based) fairs and events. After a site visit by the Head of Search Associates of the school and the provided residence (a.k.a. Rushd schools old building), Madar was barred from participating in the Dubai Fair that took place in January/2005 and future fairs. A South African recruiter was also subsequently looking into Madar problems.

Moreover, the school is under scrutiny by the Ministry of Education, especially after the crack-downs on private schools throughout the UAE. In addition to that, the Ministry of Labours head inspector deemed rooms at the Madar accommodations as unhealthy after a site visit.

Madar wrote the following contradictory statement on primesl.com:
There is no investigation what-so-ever from the UAE ministries at the school. And the UAE education division was caught in a big scandal and we here at Madar are glad that they did not approve of us.

Madar claims that it enjoys an excellent reputation, yet it alleges that its former teachers are immoral and involved in scandals! Well, if former teachers were immoral during their stay at Madar, then that shoots their argument for an excellent reputation right in the foot! In a desperate attempt to promote a better image for recruitment purposes, Madar is hurling attacks and slander against teachers who dared to speak about their experiences. The names of people involved in the Al Ain scandal were published, so for a school to make up such a thing only shows what level those running it are at.

Madar is only further implicating itself through their contradictions and ranting. Even if the administration wants to falsely claim that everyone who left Madar was "bad", then that still reflects BADLY on them for choosing so many supposedly "bad" employees! More than 13 staff members including a head of department, teachers, administrative assistants, receptionists, and even a custodian from different countries (Scotland-UK, USA, Canada, Jordan, Iraq, etc.) have left the school during this academic year.

Qualified teachers who taught and continue to teach in reputable schools in Europe and North America are not incompetent. The incompetent ones are those who do sloppy work to get by, make demeaning comments against the religious beliefs of their local students, causing parents to come in and complain, and spend hours on the roof during school time.

Paying out salaries on time is a matter of credibility. If a signed contract between Madar and a teacher states that the pay is on a certain date, then it should be on that certain date. If its a norm to pay out salaries 10 days late in the UAE, then telling teachers otherwise in an official contract was deliberate dishonesty.

Due to low enrolment, Madar accepted students who did not pass entrance/level exams, as well as some students with learning disabilities without offering appropriate resources.

In its postings, Madar includes an invitation for people to come and visit their school and accommodations to coax readers into believing them. However, when someone takes Madar up on its offer, the results are not to their liking, as was the case when the Head of Search Associates banned Madar after a site visit

I am happy to discuss any of these matters with anyone wishing to know more
