I think you misunderstand. I am not defending the Chinese authorities and their refusal to provide basic rights to their own people. there is a difference between that and suggesting that a normal Chinese individual is less capable of being a moral person. Should we hold every individual in every country accountable for the wrong doings done to them and to others by an oppressive minority? If that were the case then surely every westerner should also be held accountable for the evils that it's governments have committed both domestically or abroad!
