I teach a one-to-one ESL beginner 18 year old girl in the South of France. We are going to do an 'immersion day'. She is interested in graphic design, and will be spending a month in london, immersed in a graphic design firm, in June.
I'm struggling to decide what activities to plan with her, as there are very little true 'English' activities in the city. I plan to give her a normal one hour lesson, go to the grocery store and then bake brownies, perhaps have a coffee in town...and maybe walk around the city. I'm having trouble however, finding resources that talk about how to take ESL out of the classroom. Does anyone have any ideas?
