I've already posted a tutorial of putting QQ in English on Linux but here here is a better one that'll allow you to use Linux Firefox or Chromium instead of a not too stable wine Internet Explorer. If you're a gay-dog FT who likes to communicate with Chinese gals you will need QQ. The problem can be if you use QQ on virus infested Windoze z z z z.

So, what do you need? You need to download QQIntl1.5. Also download this http://www.longene.org/download/WineQQ2012-20120531-Longene.deb

Open QQIntl1.5 with 'archive manager' and find the folder 'QQIntl' It'll be green-coloured in the Mint environment but red in Ubuntu- drag the scoundrel onto the desk top to the side of the screen and leave for now. Now open the QQ longene download with package manager(you will have to install package manager in Ubuntu from software centre) and when a window eventually comes up to sign into QQ just close it .

Now open your home folder- go to 'view' and select 'hidden files' and find the QQ longene one-open it and click 'drive-c'- then click 'program files' then click 'tencent' and you will find one QQ folder there- so now drag the QQIntl folder from you desktop into that box-so now you have two folder- close it now.

Open up 'terminal' and enter this command line pluma /opt/longene/qq2012/qq2012.sh for Linux Mint, BUT this one for Ubuntu gedit /opt/longene/qq2012/qq2012.sh

Now an editor will open But it may be blank, so click on 'open' and find qq.sh file- that will open a script, so now do this, changing it in two lines to include Intl-

In the editor find this line

INEDEBUG=-all env WINEPREFIX=$WINEPREFIX_DIR $WINE_DIR/bin/wine $WINEPREFIX_DIR/drive_c/Program\ Files/Tencent/QQ/Bin/QQ.exe

and change it to

INEDEBUG=-all env WINEPREFIX=$WINEPREFIX_DIR $WINE_DIR/bin/wine $WINEPREFIX_DIR/drive_c/Program\ Files/Tencent/QQIntl/Bin/QQ.exe

do the same with this other line:

env WINEPREFIX=$WINEPREFIX_DIR $WINE_DIR/bin/wine $WINEPREFIX_DIR/drive_c/Program\ Files/Tencent/QQ/Bin/QQ.exe >$HOME/Longene_qq2012.log 2>&1

change to:

env WINEPREFIX=$WINEPREFIX_DIR $WINE_DIR/bin/wine $WINEPREFIX_DIR/drive_c/Program\ Files/Tencent/QQIntl/Bin/QQ.exe >$HOME/Longene_qq2012.log 2>&1

You can now open QQIntl using the QQ icon that was supposed to be for QQ longene.

Now, that was a piece of piss, no? A word of caution if you already have wine/winetricks on your Linux get shot of it, unless you want Internet Explorer to open up all your links people send to you over QQ- not forgetting to delete the wine folder in the hidden ones.
