Valid points there Y.L. Teaching in your home country is not the same as teaching ESL in another country. I have, on more than one occasion, found experienced teachers are actually less effective in the Chinese classroom than newcomers.

That said, that is a generalization, and neither group is perfect!

Actually, the group I tend to think to the best (generally) are 'teachers' with some experience in different professions, and importantly 'life' knowledge.

Each group has their own pros and cons!
