It seems that Dubai needs to catch up a bit with the rest of the world

I used to teach in the gulf myself, and I would say that it is the rest of the world that needs to catch up with Dubai. What we don't want is Dubai becoming like the KSA or Iran, that we do not want. English teachers there, in a place with low crime, are certainly safer than in the UK. Lots of brit expats and other europeans live there without troubles, why would they not?!
