Change the record please. I could call you a self promoting individual, how often have you promoted your learning software on here? What do you gain from that (no linux support btw!)

I agree with you, if you're using a free facility you shouldn't display crafty adverts with even the partial aim of making money. I suppose some types of adverts are ok, like I am in between teaching jobs at the moment does anybody know of a good school? Learning software reeks of trying to earn big money to me. But if nobody at all is asked for any money and you are not just giving away a few enticing free samples for promotional reasons it could be also alright. I also agree with you about the Linux which as I understand it is open-source and gives its software away. That is the right thing to do to support freedom on the Internet for all and not just the well-heeled. At the end of the day we must all do as our conscience allows us. I am currently planning to get a bakery going in China to supply Westerners. I will expect to make some money but will not be trying to sell my bread and pies on this forum, not even free samples.
