If you are a brit expat/FT, might be time to leave this dangerous place at last.

Say what you like about confucian societies lacking rule of law, they are generally safe? Recent attacks in China withstanding (nowhere near as bad as those in Africa/the west?), hong kong and macau and Taiwan are generally very safe. Rule of law? Only for those who obey the laws. Democracy? The government ALWAYS gets in.

An iron hand is needed to deal with scum terrorists like this, sod human rights and the rule of law!

Fair warning to anyone going to travel/teach in E. Africa!!
