Not every teacher is unqualified. Also, many teachers have done far more important things in their lives than merely teaching.

Anyway, it is about supply and demand. Developed countries already have plenty of skilled workers and rarely require any more in large numbers with the exception of some specialist industries.

China, on the other hand still lacks in decent quality English teachers. Sure, there's plenty of Chinese people that are qualified to teach in high schools and universities, but do they do a good job?

Judging by how the average Chinese person speaks English... NO! One only has to read the e-mails from their supposed Chinese supervisors for a quick giggle at their terrible English. I've seen Chinese English language teachers' lessons and I must say that I wasn't the slightest bit impressed at all!

Hence even dancing white monkeys can represent a small improvement upon their current situation. Anyway, if you was a true patriot, you would want to stop the chronic brain drain that the nation suffers, no?
