Wumaos are pro-Chinese because they are Chinese people who are paid 5 jiao for every post they make by the propaganda bureaus of the Chinese government. Their job is to sway public opinion by criticizing those criticize China or the party and also posting comments in support of their employer. Recent evidence has been found of such people posting on websites aimed at foreigners in China.

Wankers on the other hand, just blindly show support for everything that goes on in China whether it be good or bad, because they have nowhere else to go to.

Hence, it can be hard to identify who somebody really is, there's probably 100's of possible types of shit poster, from the wumao to the paid lackeys, and then of course, the Willy Wanker.
