You are definitely wrong to suggest that published authors should not bother about their privacy. I do. None of the posters on this board is ever likely to buy any of my books, so why should I sacrifice my privacy on here?

1) if you were so bothered about your privacy, you should never have used being a published author in order to score points against another poster unless you were willing to back it up

And

2) I'm pretty sure most people who publish.do so in.order to reach the public, be it the public at large or in a smaller select niche. Either way, unless you used a pen name or published under 'anonymous' one really can't claim the privacy excuse if you published you name to be sold on amazon.
