Anyone with a degree in English plus a TEFL is better qualified than someone without a degree and a funny C/DELTA only.

The voice of reason. There is no way you can cram into a 4 week CELTA, no matter how intensive, what you can learn by doing study for a degree and writing a dissertation and then getting a 4 week tefl on top of that. To say that a CELTA is better than, or even equal to, a degree & tefl is just GW nonsense imho!!!!!
