In response to jobs in europe - Teachers discussion (epleata)

Hi,

Sorry to rain on your parade, but without an E.U. passport, there is NO WAY you will be able to teach in Western Europe. Americans, Australians and Canadians are welcome to come and SPEND money but there is no way that any E.U. country will let you take a euro away from one of their citizens. The school must prove that no citizen of any country in the E.U. can do your job but you. This can work for corporate V.P's and I.T. professionals but never teachers. Sorry. I suggest you look into Eastern Europe although more of those countries are insisting on E.U. passports as well.
