From what I heard, lacking in development compared to China but very up and coming. food seems to be cheap and reasonably priced.

I know of a guy teaching in Can Tho, who has also lived in other parts of vietnam. I will ask him and post back more details.

I am sure though, like everywhere in Asia, you need to be careful when reviewing a school contract and so on. Also I heard vietnamese women do not have a good reputation, and warn western men off the local women, once they have been spurned. Many horror stories of vietnamese wife running off with money and so on, leaving the western mans heart in tatters.
