hahaha well a natural speaker just wouldn't use either of those words to describe the unfortunate animal. The veterinary just wouldn't say 'that poodle hit by a cement mixer is ugly!' hahaha! but he may say 'he's got an ugly looking gash on his head' No, other words come into play, dear boy.
